The Pseudo-Problem of Time in Quantum Gravity

Posted by: JackSarfatti |

The timeless WDW eq is only for the quantum BIT field that pilots the 3-geometry histories in Wheeler Superspace. The time is at the level of the IT "hidden variables" not the realm of BIT. IT FROM BIT. Very simple really.

Indeed in Bohm's interpretation the timeless BIT World of the Wheeler De Witt equation
HPSI(3Geometry) = 0

is obviously precisely the realm of Plato's immutable eternal forms - the Ideals, the invariants, the Jungian Archetypal Patterns of The Gods, Angels, Demons, so to speak metaphorically.

How are you?
These last few months, I've been reading a lot on the wheeler de witt equation, and how some scientists take the idea of timelessness very seriously. Then I was reading on imaginary time, and it's application to quantum cosmology, and how it rids us of a beginning of time.
I have a question. Since the wheeler de witt equation is permitted only for real-time events, can we use this to rid GR and quantum cosmology of a flow of time, and adopt to model the universe in imaginary time to rid us of a singularity and beginning of time?
I wrote up a small essay on the subject, and wondered what you may think of the idea:

Of course, I do appreciate you are very buisy nonetheless, so i would understand if you can't. Take care doctor, hope you are well!!

note for reader real space is imaginary time while imaginary space is real time trading in the real arrow of time for real space in this essay i will attempt to put forward an idea which will describe the universe from two different perspectives involving time and how both perspectives

Good question, but I doubt your solution will work. It does not solve the problem of time in quantum gravity to simply do that formal Wick rotation. The Bohmians do have a physical solution to this problem. Also if you look at my latest papers I have something to say about at least the Arrow of Time simply explained as a back-from-the-future hologram image. Seehttp://stardrive.org/ & vixra e-print archive for details.

I love your top-bottom model. It reminds me strongly of wheeler's idea that signals come from the future to the past and shape the past.
Thank you for hearing me out, I will follow the link and read it.

Can I ask what the Bohmians believe in? What is their physical solution?

Back From the Future
A series of quantum experiments shows that measurements performed in the future can influence the present. Does that mean the universe has a destiny—and the laws of physics pull us inexorably toward our prewritten fate?

"SEPTEMBER 2000: Dan T. Smith, son of an Eisenhower presidential advisor, suggests interest by the CIA in discussion of various paranormal topics, including the reverse engineering of advanced technology then being pursued by USWeb CEO Joe Firmage.
Ronald S. Pandolfi, who had been identified by the New York Times as a senior CIA analyst, responds to Mr. Smith in a tongue-in-cheek fashion, concerning Smith's allusion to recruitment by CIA. Among the numerous recipients: Joe Firmage, who was responsible for bringing together scientists from the former Soviet Union with their Western counterparts, physicist Jack Sarfatti, known for his interest in backwards time information from the future, and psychic Uri Geller. Later, declassified CIA documents reveal a Congressional mandate to declassify paranormal research and encourage cooperative efforts with the Russians."
