With only a month left before NASA ships its latest Mars rover to Cape Canaveral, engineers at the agency's Jet Propulsion Laboratory are working feverishly to complete final testing and help ensure a successful fall launch.
As part of a muscular publicity effort - maybe it's consolation for the fact that James Cameron's 3D camera won't make it onto the rover after all - JPL allowed reporters into the clean room Monday for a final, up-close glimpse.
The thought that kept me up Sunday night was of a single stray eyelash escaping my bunny suit and ruining the whole $2.5 billion mission - which involves the search for ingredients of an habitable environment and/or indicators of previous life on Mars.
