Chinese engineers have created a light-bending device that makes objects appear smaller than they really are.
The ‘shrinking device’ manipulates light so that the object inside it looks a fraction of the size that it really is.
It was built out of metamaterials, which have been used to make prototype invisibility cloaks, and could one day be used by the military to confuse its enemies.
