Marblehead photographer Eyal Oren woke up early Wednesday morning, Oct. 26, before dawn, to take some shots of the beautiful, archaic-looking anchor that sits ashore at Preston Beach. The image had caught his eye many times before, and on this particular day, the lighting was perfect, so he knew he was going to get the shot he had been waiting for.
But what he didn’t know was that something else was going to catch his eye, something that would keep his mind churning for days: a UFO tucked silently within the series of images he had captured.
He had seen the bright, almost sun-like spot in the sky, but didn’t think anything of it, until he went through his images later that morning.
“As I got through the pictures, there was a series of 10 in a row. This white thing stayed in the same spot for five frames, shining as bright as the sun, then it sort of takes off,” said Oren, who works by day as an allergist at Asthma and Allergy Affiliates.
