" Charles H. Bennett has spent the past 40 years
at IBM Research where he has studied many
aspects of the physics of information processing.
He is known for his work on reversible computing
and Maxwell's demon, quantum cryptography and
quantum teleportation, and the theory of
     entanglement and entanglement-assisted
communication. His has long been interested in
     applying algorithmic information and computational
     complexity to characterize self-organization and
understand its thermodynamics. He was the first
chair of the APS Group on Quantum Information."
