Overview | Is there intelligent life on other planets? How would scientists recognize extraterrestrial life? Should we be searching for life in the universe? In this lesson, students discuss the definition of life and the requirements for life, both on Earth and other planets. They learn about SETI, the search for extraterrestrial life, explore some of the challenges facing this field, and develop proposals seeking financing for aspects of SETI research to pitch to venture capitalists.
