After writing the story about the "UFO" that was recently discovered in a satellite image on one of the runways at Yuma Proving Ground, I was reminded of a strange encounter of my own on Oct. 14, 2010.
On that day I was driving back to work when I noticed a black disc like object hovering over the northern area of the city of Yuma near the Colorado River.
There are two military bases and an international airport in the area, so I didn't really think it was strange until I saw the way it moved.
While I was watching it moved horizontally at a very slow speed and then stopped and hovered in place. Then what really caught my attention - after hovering in the same spot for about 30 seconds, it moved horizontally in the exact opposite direction and stopped again.
