A mysterious ball of light was captured by a traffic camera on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at approximately 4:45 a.m. The UFO appeared in the sky over Phoenix, AZ while footage was being recorded of the morning commute. The resulting footage was subsequently broadcast on live television during an early morning traffic report by KSAZ-TV.

The UFO or ball of light resembled an explosion or a blown fuse on a transformer, but there is no record of any such incident in the area. According to The Huffington Post, "The two electric utilities that serve metro Phoenix say they didn't have any reports of electric transformer explosions that might explain the flash."

Furthermore, neither a spokesman for the Arizona Department of Transportation nor a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Phoenix had any theories to explain the bright white light. For now, the unexplained phenomenon remains unidentified.
