An amateur photographer is hoping someone can "shed light" on a mysterious pattern of lights that appeared in a picture he took of Inverness on Sunday night.
Gary Murison (47) is probing whether anyone saw any strange goings-on in the night sky above the Highland capital following his discovery of the unusual glow.
It was only when he was putting his photos on his computer that he clocked the weird illuminations.
He told the HN: "I took the picture at 7.20pm on Sunday night.
