UFO in northern Chile’s sky leaves experts mesmerized

Aerial Forces confirm it is not a ship, begin investigation on possible classifications.

Both locals and officials are still awestruck at what caused a bright unidentified light in the skies of Iquique in northern Chile on Monday. A shooting star? Asteroid? UFO?  No guess is too far-out yet, as experts continue exploring several theories to define the phenomenon.

The bright light, seen between 11 p.m. and midnight Monday night, has not yet been identified and is being referred to as a unidentified object, by the General Department of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) of the Chilean Air Force (Fach).

On Tuesday morning, the Fach confirmed the sighting was not a ship on any kind and said it will investigate all possible causes of the sightings.
