Scientists approaching that pair of mysterious bright spots on everybody’s favorite dwarf planet Ceres are also getting closer to understanding them.
For starters, there are several spots, not just two.
The photos, taken last week by the Dawn spacecraft at a distance of 8,400 miles, show multiple sources of illumination coming from a crater in Ceres' northern hemisphere.
