The international team of experts believes humans may be the only intelligent life form in the known universe.
Scientists examined the so-called “Fermi Paradox” in a bid to uncover why mankind appears to be alone in the universe.
The theory was developed as a means to explain why there is an apparent imbalance between the likelihood that there is alien life and the lack of evidence for it.
Now, experts claim there is a 30% chance that humanity is alone in the Milky Way – the galaxy we call home.
