Alien hunting just received a massive boost after the world’s leading ET-searching organisation launched a tool for amateurs.
The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI)institute has opened up the prospect of finding aliens to the public, and hopes its new online tool will speed up the process. SETI has been on the hunt since 1984, but to no avail so far. This is why the organisation has opened the hunt up to the public who can flick through the organisation’s archives incase SETI has made a a subtle omission.
The new tool has been called Technosearch and will allow anyone to prowl through all the available data which stretches back to the 1960s.
Penn State University student Andrew Garcia believes is optimistic the new innovation could herald encouraging results in the search for aliens.
He said: "I've become convinced that Technosearch will become an important instrument for astronomers and amateurs interested in exploring the cosmos for indications of other technological civilisations.
Looking forward to using it. To read more, click here.
