The first parts of Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) project was established by China earlier this month, and the larger project, which will hopefully be completed by 2021, will help to unlock the secrets of the Universe. More specifically, it will be the world’s largest detectors of gamma ray bursts originating from deep space. Gamma ray bursts are believed by scientists to be powerful signals sent across space following a cataclysmic event.
