Gary McKinnon is back in the news.
McKinnon, a British computer whiz who was arrested in 2002 on charges of hacking into NASA and U.S. military computer systems, for 10 years faced extradition to the United States to stand trial. If convicted, he would have faced up to 60 years in prison, but the British government in 2012 blocked his extradition.
Interviewed last week on Richplanet TV, McKinnon told interviewer Richard Hall that gaining entry to NASA's computer system wasn't complicated. He said he did it to check out reports that Johnson Space Center employees were removing UFOs from photos and videos before releasing them.
The interview was posted on YouTube on Dec. 1, 2015.
McKinnon, who doubts that humans made it to the moon because they wouldn't have survived the radiation belt, laughingly referred to NASA as the National Association of Space Actors. He said he believes that photos sent back by the Mars rovers show evidence of extraterrestrial life.
