Gary Heseltine, 56, a former detective constable involved in investigating the 7/7 terror strikes and major rail disasters, now wants to crack the case of the mysterious Rendlesham Forest UFO incident 36 years after the baffling events unfolded at the US Air Force occupied RAF Bentwaters at Rendlesham, near Woodbridge in Suffolk.

He has called on defence secretary Michael Fallon to re-open the case after two former radar operatives came forward to claim they tracked an unidentified object at speeds of more than 50,000mph, at the time of the mysterious incident in December 1980.

In May Express.co.uk reported how the two former military technicians claimed a UFO WAS caught on radar and seen from the control tower of RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge as well as in Rendlesham Forest, near Woodbridge, in Suffolk.

The claims were made in a new documentary which tries to tie up evidence linking UFO and alien visitations with nuclear facilities on Earth.
