The beast – dubbed the Yowie – is thought to have been seen roaming through dense forest in New South Wales, Australia.
A 20-second clip uploaded to The Yowie Hunters YouTube page shows the dark black creature walking behind trees.
In it, a ranger can be heard saying: "It's too dark to be a kangaroo."
Seconds later a large black creature – walking on two legs – appears from the undergrowth and walks through trees in the wood.
Witnesses – including the cameraman – are rendered speechless as the animal walks slowly in front of them before disappearing once more.
