The pictures were taken at 6pm local time on Thursday over Santiago in Chile, South America.
They have been sent by the photographer to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) for investigation.
The snapper claimed not to have seen anything when the picture was taken, but the UFOs were seen when the photographs were later reviewed.
In a message to US-based MUFON, the world's biggest organisation dedicated to UFO research and investigation, the unnamed photographer said: "The UFOs were detected after the review of the pictures and it was not the intention to picture them in the first instance."
