Aliens and fireworks were among the theories behind a cluster of bright red lights that appeared “falling from the sky” above the NSW Northern Rivers town of Ballina on Tuesday night.
Reportedly having seen a bunch of lights in the sky behind the farms at her property, Ms Lea wondered if it were flares set off from the river, but added she couldn’t see anyone there when she went to investigate.
“There was about 5 or so that I saw, only that I looked out at the right time,” she wrote.
“Just wondering if anyone else has seen them? I have no idea and would love to find out.”
Venessa Kotwa responded saying she also saw the lights and estimated observing about eight of them.
“Some fell fast some fell slowly,” she added.
