Space junk is a big problem, an issue that could go on to jeopardize space travel if not correctly handled the right way. If you have learned anything over the past decade, it is that humans are eager to get to Mars and beyond. Private and government-funded organizations are planning to expand our presence in space, building bases, and even livable habitats within the next few decades. However, for us also to reach mars and beyond, we need to be able to get off this planet safely.
However, there are more immediate dangers. The space debris floating around the planet could threaten the lives of astronauts on the international space station. And, it is not just the big pieces of junk we have to worry about.
