UC Riverside physicists pave the way for graphene-based spin computer

Physicists at the University of California, Riverside have taken an important step forward in developing a "spin computer" by successfully achieving "tunneling spin injection" into graphene.

I'm waiting for the next future GM or GE startup.  How about General Graphene (GG)?  This future interstellar corporation would produce products ranging from the nano to the meta-macro scale.   Think of Larry Niven's Pierson's Puppeteers, the alien race of technological geniuses behind the General Products galactic scale mega-corporation responsible for the virtually indestructible and ubiquitous diamond starship hulls used throughout the galaxy in the classic Ringworld science fiction novels.  Hey, one can always hope.  To read the rest of the article, click here.
