Scientists at the Australian National University are chipping away at the dream of creating an invisibility cloak.
Teams led by Professor Chennupati Jagadish and his colleague, Professor Yuri Kivshar, at the Research School of Physics and Engineering are working on special materials that allow them to subvert the way light moves.
The resulting technology could lead to near-invisible camouflage gear for soldiers or powerful, high-resolution microscopes.
