A soldier stationed at Bagram Air Force Base, Afghanistan, reports a May 15, 2009, UFO sighting of "red colored lights" flying around the mountain area surrounding the base, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
The January 10 report details how incoming aircraft at night do not use lights "to prevent insurgents from attacking them during landing."
One of the lights "moved back in forth in a slow motion, but also appeared to hover from time to time."
The soldier reports that others saw the lights too and "wondered what they were."
