The "Oriental Yeti" uncaged

I took the liberty of grabbing the photo of the forelorn creature in its cage and removed the bars of rhe cage in photoshop so you can get a better look at the animal.   I'm leaning towards a known animal, possibly canine, with a bad case of mange.
