Last weekend for three consecutive nights, my husband and I watched a strange bright white ball of light drop down from the sky and hover above the mangroves directly west of our house on Capri.

We first thought it was a light atop a large sailboat mast, but it was far too high up to be that.

Next, we deduced that it might be the headlights of a small airplane, or perhaps a helicopter. Because it was stationary for such a long time, this theory was ruled out.
