Contribution to the meme: In this campy romp the Earth is caught in the middle of a war between two competing extra-dimensional groups. In one scene, the hero, Buckaroo Banzai, receives a shock and an extraterrestrial message over the telephone, similar to some accounts of strange phone calls allegedly from the aliens.
I introduced Jacques Vallee to Francis Ford Coppola in 1975 at a party with Uri Geller.
