Multiple reports tell us that Russia has recently accused Ukraine of attempting to assassinate President Vladimir Putin with a drone strike on the Kremlin.

According to a Kremlin statement circulating the media, two drones were utilized in the attack, aimed at the Kremlin in the early hours of May 3.

Russia also alleges that its radar warfare systems destroyed the drones. Moscow has called the attack a terrorist strike and an assassination attempt.

Reuters reports that the drones caused debris to fall on Kremlin grounds, but no one was injured. The administration has accused Ukraine of plotting a terrorist attack, while hardliners have demanded that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy be punished immediately.
