These reactions harness abundant and readily available resources on Earth, such as methane (CH4), water (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen (N2), to produce various valuable chemical products.

Despite their significance, these reactions often suffer from low conversion rates and poor selectivity due to the chemical inertness of reactants and the relatively high reactivity of the products. Developing to lower the activation energy barrier remains a grand challenge.
