Examining distant exoplanets is challenging for a variety of reasons, including the difficulties of acquiring a clear glimpse of their atmospheres with telescopes.
This makes it challenging to ascertain the chemical compositions of some exoplanets due to their opaque atmospheres, often obscured by clouds or haze.
The researchers at Johns Hopkins University have now attempted to address this problem in the lab by mimicking conditions conducive to the production of hazy skies on alien planets.
As per the official release, laboratory-based experiments play a crucial role in understanding the impact of haziness on observations made by both ground-based and space telescopes.
