Following Dragonfire’s latest successful testing in the Hebrides in Scotland, it has now been announced that the weapon system is edging closer to full production. If reports are to be believed, British Royal Navy vessels could be armed with the system within the next five years.

Moreover, footage of the latest test has also been officially given the “green light” for public viewing. Naval News reports that MBDA, Leonardo, and QinetiQ officials are now working on “second-generation” designs for the Dragonfire system in preparation.
