Alien life is likely out there but we're looking in the wrong places, claim some scientists.
In fact, a new research paper has suggested that there are other universes that have more optimal conditions to start life. Other life being in parallel universes – or the so-called 'multiverse' – perhaps explains why no other life form has yet made contact with Earth. Once scientists can understand these strange far-away worlds, the better chance they have to potentially open up and communicate with them.
The latest study focuses on the universe's "dark energy." This is not a new phenomenon, as the energy is considered to be a proposed form of energy that affects the universe on the largest scales. Scientists believe it is what expands the universe, and the presence of it elsewhere suggests there could be extraterrestrial life.
