Scientists in China seem to have achieved the feat of making a drone carry out a horizontal landing on a runway after it has flown at hypersonic speeds, according to reports.
The technological feat has been achieved after several years of research, and it could open a whole new gateway into the science of drone building.
According to a report published in the portal Bulgarian Military, the MD-19 hypersonic drone was launched from a Tengden TB-001 for the test flight.
The report also mentions that testing has been carried out for several years, and it may very well be the case that the video that has surfaced recently might be a bit old.
