Upstate New York has its fair share of weird, unusual and even paranormal sites. Some sites are hidden or can only be found through urban legends and folklore, but one park in Northern New York has posted a sign to put their paranormal park on the map.
Historic Thompson Park in Watertown is one that is seemingly unassuming. It contains a zoo, pavilions, tennis courts, trails, and — a paranormal vortex which reportedly transports visitors to another time and space only to return them confused and disoriented.
According to Hauntedhistorytrail.com, eyewitnesses to the phenomenon have reported that the location of the vortex has moved throughout the park over the past century. Mysterious disappearances and reappearances have been legend since the park opened in 1905, NNY Living also reports.
