Sen. Mark Kelly, a retired astronaut and Navy combat pilot, said this week he is eager to see an upcoming U.S. government report on UFOs.

Kelly, D-Ariz., joked about the subject, made clear he hasn’t seen any, then acknowledged a need to better understand “unidentified aerial phenomena,” as the subject is known by the government.

Asked about the coming report by The Arizona Republic, Kelly first teased about the existence of “really small” aliens with “sharp teeth” that “live under your bed” before turning serious. 

“I'm interested in seeing the report, but I have no inside information on what these unidentified objects that maybe we've seen more of lately — I don't know,” Kelly said after an event in Goodyear.
