An old official document appears to show that NASA wanted to try and reverse engineer alien technology for its own usage.
The paper, titled Field Rocconissance Propulsion Concept, discussed how researchers were currently not able to fully explain the way alleged UFOs travelled, but that they hoped to harness it for their own technology.
Published in 1979 by NASA and recently dug up from its archive, the paper implies that independent research into UFOs would be valuable for NASA and could be used for wider research into “Propulsion Concepts for Galactic Spacecraft”.
