The House Oversight Committee will hold a hearing on UFOs following a military whistleblower's bombshell claims that the government has been lying to the public for 'decades' about the existence of extraterrestrial life.
Speaking at the Capitol yesterday, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Rep James Comer told NewsNation: 'There will be a hearing on it, there will be oversight.'
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla) and Rep. Tim Burchett (Rep-Tenn) will lead the investigation.
In a statement to DailyMail.com, the committee's spokesman said the move was prompted not just by the whistleblower's comments, but other reports that 'continue to surface regarding unidentified aerial phenomena.'
'The House Oversight Committee is following these UAP reports and is in the early stages of planning a hearing.
