A 45-year-old electrician and U.S. Army veteran has shared a chilling account of what he believes was an encounter with the elusive bigfoot. The harrowing event occurred while Kelly Stolp was camping with family and friends along an abandoned forest road in Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Washington, back on July 17, 2020.

According to Stolp, 45, who is from Montana and is a seasoned Sasquatch hunter and outdoorsman, the "founding incident" took place at around 3am when the group was startled awake by a "yeti-like scream." Sadly, rather than reach for a camera to capture an image of the elusive cryptid, the Montana native reached for his gun.

Speaking to Oregon Live, Stolp described the noise as a guttural "brat-tat-tat" sound and immediately felt fear but could not identify the source of the chilling sound. Although Stolp reached for his shotgun, the rest of the camp, including Mike Palagi, 38, an old Army buddy, and his fiancée, who had consumed a bottle of Pendleton whisky, were slow to respond.
