A photo dubbed “the most convincing UFO photo ever” has been released over 50 years after it was first taken.
Aerial photographer Sergio Loaiza took the eerie snap using a100lb map-making camera as he flew over Costa Rica.
He was on a mission to survey land ahead of the construction of a hydroelectric project near the Arenal Volcano but spotted something odd.
As he flew over Lake Cote at around 10,000 feet, Loaiza took multiple high resolution black and white photos of the lake and surrounding rainforest during 20 second intervals.
However, in one frame he captured a shiny metallic disc, an image often referred to classic movie depicted aliens as a ‘flying saucer’
The object is visible only in frame number 300 before immediately seems to disappear afterwards.
Even more peculiar was the fact that no one , even the pilot, saw the object during the flight.
