Former Marion police officer Jeffrey Porter Sr. has founded the Unexplained Investigations group, which is dedicated to finding out the truth about the lights the Brown Mountain Lights off N.C. Highway 181 and investigating reported Sasquatch (Bigfoot) sightings off N.C. Highway 105 and N.C. Highway 126.
To that end, Porter Sr. and his group will be setting up a four-day camping excursion off the highways.
The group is made up of ex-law enforcement, a private investigator and sales managers.
