A mysterious UFO has been spotted during a dramatic lightning storm over South Africa in intriguing scenes akin to the alien invasion movie, District 9.
Footage recorded in Johannesburg, where Neil Blomkamp's acclaimed 2009 film is set, captures a fierce electrical storm over the city last month.
At one point, as a lightning strike illuminates the sky, a black, stationary object is visible for a moment amidst the flashes in the dark.
The object disappears with the flash, but before it goes out of sight, a small ball of light can be seen in the top left section of the 'craft'.
