A UFO was seen hovering over an airport before it mysteriously vanished into thin air leaving fighter jets frantically scrambling around to find it.
India’s air force was sent on a wild goose chase after the unidentified flying object was "visible with bare eyes" according to police.
An emergency alert was sent out by security forces after the chilling sight was reported and the airport was shut down for several hours.
The object was very clearly visible at the Imphal’s Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, according to an unnamed official from one of India’s federal police agencies.
